AusNWT Presents: Ninja Warrior At The Compound

You are currently viewing AusNWT Presents: Ninja Warrior At The Compound

Ninja Warrior at the Compound, presented by AusNWT, was an upper body or grip strength destroyer.

It’s like there was a 4 week, all inclusive monthly pull-up/muscle-up challenge last month and this was the end of month exam.

Almost everything that required boat loads of grip, forearm endurance and explosive power was thrown into the August AusNWT Ninja Warrior comp at The Compound.

From rope swings to the dungeon and nunchucks. Then a tricky ring-hopper that, just like the rope swing, wasn’t a straight line easy leap.

The Elite Ninja course tested strength, endurance but also our ability to solve problems, literally on the fly.

Arguably one of the toughest grip obstacles in the Compound obstacle gym are the affectionately named, “Orange Boys” that are PVC pipes over static timber pegs. Already after plenty of forearm burning, these were thrown in for good measure.

Rookie & Ninjas

Stef Chua has entered the building!

In her very first Ninja Warrior competition here at the Compound, Stef easily completed each & every challenge we threw at her completing the full course with plenty of time to spare. Stef has been training hard these past little while and boy is it showing. If you want proof that hard work pays off, Stef is the proof.

In each category, Rookie, Ninja & Ninja Elite, we had only one athlete to finish the full course. In the Ninja, that was Tristan.

Again, one that is putting in the work and proving it pays off. It seems Tristan is becoming a podium regular begging the questions, how many podiums before you move up a class? Haha.

Anyway, Tristan absolutely crushed the course with his trademark smile. All in a mornings work, huh.

And while we’re here, Liv is another making light work of our Ninja courses. Despite a slip on the Orange Boys we mentioned earlier, competed really well and obviously putting the pressure on the rest of the field.
