The June Ninja Warrior Competition

The June Ninja Warrior Competition at The Compound in Bayswater took place over the weekend and boy did it produce!

And by produce, we mean both incredible disappointment! Well, not entirely. We’ll save the wins till last, I suppose.

If you take a look through the results below, more specifically the Elite Ninjas, you’ll see more than half of the field fell on the third obstacle. It was a doozy.

Two flat hooks with cliff-hanger grips are joined together with a door hinge. The object is to lache from their starting point and onto a trapeze bar. It’s a tough obstacle that saw many competitor on the mat before they realised what happened. Such a tough and unforgiving obstacle but one I’m sure many will master by the next comp.

Apart from the 3 kids that took the podium in the Elite category, it was two of the oldest to be the only others who managed to get through the Origami obstacle.

Now onto the huge win; Hayley. Hayley is a crowd favourite, competing at most of the monthly competitions here at the Compound, Bayswater and alwys pushing herself to do better.

This month her hard work showed up and had her on top of the Ninja Podium. Not bad for someone who had convinced herself she wouldn’t make it passed the third obstacle, huh! Well done Hayley.
